I kind of wish we could do like 27 first dances so I could use every song that's in my "Wedding Possibilities" playlist right now. Sure, Stolen is always a possibility, but there are SO MANY other beautiful, perfect songs out there as well.
I discovered a lot of the songs that I'm loving right now thanks to TV and movie soundtracks. In fact, Mr. Foxy and I were watching Juno for the eleventy-billionth (not exaggerating) time a few months ago.. you know the opening scene, with the credits and cartoon? The song that plays during it.. I'm obsessed.
PRESS PLAY. now please.
We need this at our wedding. Somewhere in the ceremony. I know it sounds a little hokey with the harmonica and all, but I have a little trick up my sleeve and some family connections. It just so happens that my stepdad and stepbro are amazing musicians - the former sings and plays almost everything, and that latter is actually in a semi-popular up and coming band. I'm thinking that between the two, they can mix it up a bit so it works really beautifully as a processional song for the guys/girls/me/someone.
I just totally dig the lyrics and think it could be cute to boot.
And if Mr. Foxy didn't hate the following song so much, I'd totally use this as the processional instead and just dance down the aisle a la Michael Scott at Pam and Jim's wedding:
Loving!
Where did you get your music inspiration from?

Love love BOTH songs!
A few suggestions: You can use these in the ceremony or also during the reception when you and/or your bridal party are first introduced.
there's also cake cutting song
Also: I asked our band to play At Last at one point because one of their singers just sings the heck out of it. I asked the band leader to make sure that chris and I are up front near them and together during that song at the end of the night. I feel like with going around to everyone and knowing that my dad, his dad, my grandpa etc. are going to want to dance with me...that we might neeed a chance near the end of the night for someone to say "Ok you two...get up here for this song" to make sure we get more "us" moments. So you could incorporate these somehow into the reception at any point throughout the night!
Love it.
We had to choose an attendants walking song, a rolling-the-aisle-runner-out song, a bride's walking song and our recessional. We also chose our first dance song and our parent's dances song.
There's so much music to figure out!!!
not gonna lie, i have goosebumps after listening to the tunes and they kind of made my day happy.
Seriously, I adore that song from Juno. I almost used it in guitar version but our guy backed out on us. And you can't go wrong with Glee, their version of Silly Love Songs is amazing.

How could he hate "Silly Love Songs"?? I'm in the same boat. There are so many songs I want to use. I've decided some of them will be part of my getting ready mix so they still remind me of the day when I hear them again.
ahh i love the glee one. i agree with laura though, you should use one in the ceremony or during the reception! that way you get both :)
All thoughts: adorbs!
Mmkay I LOVE this song. I have always loved this song since that movie! Please have this in your wedding! Amazing. Also, without fail, my dog is howling to the harmonica in the song (as he always does with harmonicas)!
